US Iran Latest News | Donald Trump Claims Iran Talks Progress Amid War Escalation

Breaking from the United States: Donald Trump has claimed progress in indirect talks with Iran, reportedly facilitated through Pakistani intermediaries. While he says negotiations are moving in a “positive direction,” no concrete details have been offered on a ceasefire or the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. The claims come even as military tensions continue to escalate, with both sides exchanging proposals but showing little convergence. There has been no official confirmation from Iran or Pakistan on any mediation effort. Adding to the uncertainty, Trump has refused to rule out sending US ground troops, with reports suggesting the Pentagon is preparing contingency plans. Speaking aboard Air Force One, he maintained that the US is “ahead of schedule” with Iran, even as strikes continue and thousands of targets remain under consideration.
