UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026: Uttar Pradesh Woos Japanese Investors, Eyes Major Investments

Uttar Pradesh is pitching itself as a major investment and manufacturing hub for Japanese companies at the inaugural UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026 in New Delhi. The event featured the virtual groundbreaking of projects by Escorts Kubota and Minda Corporation, with investment opportunities spanning semiconductors, digital infrastructure, advanced manufacturing and automotive components. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said Uttar Pradesh is moving firmly towards its goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy, citing infrastructure, logistics, industrial corridors and governance as key strengths. Japanese investors and officials also highlighted the state's large market, industrial ecosystem and government support, with the meet focusing on investments, technology partnerships, joint ventures and employment generation.
