There has been a bumper crop of potatoes, but due to low demand the prices have crashed which has deeply worried farmers. Hathras in Uttar Pradesh is one of the largest potato growing regions in the country. Potato farmers here are bearing the brunt of not just falling prices, but also lack of storage godowns.
