With an eye on the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party and the Indian National Congress have reportedly begun discussions on seat sharing. Sources indicate that Akhilesh Yadav has sought inputs from party leaders, MPs and MLAs on constituencies that could be allocated to Congress. The Samajwadi Party is said to be considering a list of 60-80 seats for its ally, while Congress may seek around 120 seats during negotiations.
