Union Minister, Smriti Irani Unveils Massive Initiative For Child Disability

Highlighting various initiatives by the Central government to skill people with disabilities and provide credit facilities for economic empowerment, Union Minister Smriti Irani discussed a significant initiative during the launch of Samarth by Hyundai. Ms. Irani mentioned that the Ministry of Women and Child Development, in collaboration with district medical officers and the Ministry of Social Justice, is initiating one of the largest campaigns in the country. This campaign, conducted through 14 lakh Anganwadis, aims to cover almost 7.5 crore children under the age of six, identifying any form of disability to provide the necessary support required by these children.
