As India and the United Kingdom move closer to ratifying their landmark Free Trade Agreement, Chris Hayward, Policy Chairman of the City of London Corporation, says the partnership is entering a transformative phase. Speaking to NDTV during his visit to Mumbai and GIFT City, Hayward described the FTA as a "game changer" that will boost trade, investment and talent flows between the two countries. Dismissing concerns over political uncertainty following UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer's resignation, he said the India-UK relationship remains stronger than ever and enjoys broad support. Hayward also highlighted opportunities in infrastructure financing, financial services and skills exchange, while reaffirming London's commitment to supporting India's long-term growth story.
