Super Typhoon Ragasa Makes Landfall In China After Battering Hong Kong, Taiwan Torrential rain and violent winds brought by the super typhoon Ragasa have battered China's Macao Special Administrative Region and the southern port city of Zhuhai, causing severe flooding and triggering large-scale evacuations. Typhoon Ragasa, the 18th typhoon of the year and by far the strongest, first entered the South China Sea late Monday and has been moving along the southern edge of south China's Guangdong Province where it is expected to make landfall later on Wednesday evening.
