US President Donald Trump greeted President Xi Jinping at Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday in a rare airport welcome to start the Chinese leader three-day visit. Footage shows Xi and his wife descending the aircraft stairs and greet Trump and Melania before attending the official welcome ceremony. The two leaders are set to hold talks at the White House on Thursday. Xi's visit is his first to Washington in more than a decade. The talks are expected to cover trade, critical minerals, artificial intelligence and Taiwan, as Washington and Beijing seek to manage tensions. Trump and Xi last met in Beijing in May.
