Trump said the measures are intended to limit automatic US citizenship for certain children born in the United States and tighten visa rules for foreign nationals travelling to give birth. The announcement comes after the US Supreme Court previously rejected Trump's attempt to end birthright citizenship, ruling that his earlier executive order was unconstitutional. Trump also unveiled plans to support the domestic polysilicon industry through tariffs and minimum import prices, citing its importance for semiconductor and solar panel manufacturing.
