US Iran War | Trump Demands Compensation From Iran 'For the Damage They've Done'

President Donald Trump countered Iran’s call for U.S. war reparations Monday with demands that Tehran pay for “the damage they’ve done over a fifty-year period.” "If there's damages to be paid, I think Iran should pay those damages," Trump demanded in the Oval Office. The president also pushed back against reports that he has been calling Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh, insisting he has "tremendous respect" for Warsh but he has only spoken with him "one time" since he took over his positon. The president was dismissive of Iranian officials’ demands after Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stressed that Iran will not reopen the Strait of Hormuz until the U.S. meets its conditions, including paying reparations for the five-month-old war
