US President Donald Trump travelled to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota to mark the eve of America's 250th anniversary of independence, delivering a patriotic address ahead of the nationwide celebrations.
Calling it "one of the most extraordinary days in the history of the world," Trump said the United States remains the oldest republic, the freest people, and the strongest and most powerful nation on Earth. He also described America as "the most successful, most accomplished, and most exceptional nation ever to exist."
