A seven-year-old is kidnapped from outside her school, gang-raped and left to die in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur. At an Indore hospital, 200 km from Mandsaur, where the girl is admitted, BJP leaders met with the family and offered all possible help. However, they expected to be "thanked" for the visit. The opposition Congress party is questioning the motive. But in an election year, as politics takes over this case, we ask on Left, Right and Centre, does anybody care about protecting our children? Can India ever be safe for the girl child ?
