Speaking about the influence his grandfather had on him, Nobel-winning economist Professor Amartya Sen talks about their discussions on the existence of God and how his grandfather placed his atheism within the Hindu spectrum. "A multi-religious, tolerant perspective has been a long tradition of India. We have moved away from that quite a bit, and that is a matter of great regret for me", says Professor Sen.
