Union Power Minister RK Singh told NDTV the government had information that attacks on India's electricity distribution centres near Ladakh had come under attack in December and January. "We interacted with the states and we reviewed our cyber defences," Mr Singh told NDTV. Chinese state-sponsored hackers had targeted Indian electricity distribution centres near Ladakh. "The objective of these attacks, we feel, is to find out weak links in our system. These probing attacks happen. Seven states were under cyber attack," he said.
