The Bangla Spring
Joy Bangla, the slogan, was coined back in 1970 and it moved millions of East Pakistanis to launch a historic freedom struggle. Today that call is reverberating on the lips of millions of Bangladeshis, many of whom were born well after independence, but all of whom are imbued with the spirit of 1971, all of them saying they are warriors in Bangladesh's second liberation war.
