'Teacher's Sacking Isn't Enough': BJP's Madhavi Latha on Hyderabad School Row

A controversy has erupted in Hyderabad after the parents of a Class 2 student alleged that their child was asked to learn and recite Islamic religious verses as part of homework. The school has since terminated the teacher involved, while police are looking into the matter.

Speaking exclusively to NDTV, BJP leader Madhavi Latha questions whether removing the teacher is sufficient and calls for a wider investigation into the school. She also alleges that the Telangana government is attempting to suppress the issue and raises concerns about constitutional rights, religious freedom in educational institutions, and the need for accountability.
