Tamil Nadu Transport Strike: Government Says 93% Buses Running

Though a large section of government transport workers in Tamil Nadu have declared an indefinite strike from today ahead of the Pongal festival rush, the state government claims nearly 93% buses are on the roads. The workers are demanding restoration of the old pension scheme and implementation of the revised DA. The state government has assured them their demands will be fulfilled once the finances improve, NDTV's Sam Daniel reports
