Tamil Nadu News | TVK Worker Climbs 1,017 Temple Steps On Knees After Vijay Becomes CM

A woman functionary of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) climbed 1,017 steps of the Ayyarmalai Rathinagireeswarar temple in Tamil Nadu’s Karur district on her knees after reportedly fulfilling a vow linked to party leader C Joseph Vijay becoming Chief Minister. The 21-year-old, identified as Mohanasundari from Mettupatti village, said she had pledged to undertake a three-day fast and climb the temple steps on her knees if her leader assumed the top post in the state. The act was carried out in the presence of local party functionaries and family members.
