The political suspense in Tamil Nadu continues as Vijay and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) intensify efforts to secure the crucial 118-seat majority mark needed to form the government. Despite emerging as the single largest party and securing Congress support, TVK remains short of the required numbers. Sources say the Governor has sought greater clarity on which parties and MLAs will formally support Vijay before extending an invitation to form the government. TVK has now reached out to CPI, CPM and VCK, while political parties and analysts debate whether the Governor should first invite Vijay to take oath and prove his majority later on the Assembly floor.
