Surprised at diplomatic stand-off, real story lost: Lawyer of Devyani Khobragade's domestic help
As a diplomatic row rages over the arrest of Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade in US, the "real story", her domestic help's lawyer says, has been lost. "Khobragade is the criminal defendant, the victim is my client, the domestic worker," Sangeeta Richard’s lawyer, Dana Sussman told NDTV, adding that her client was not given paid leave or health insurance and was made to work seven days a week.
