Supreme Court Upholds Note Ban: Political Victory For Centre?

The Supreme Court today upheld the BJP government's demonetisation exercise with a 4:1 majority. While 4 judges upheld the exercise, saying the process couldn't be faulted simply because the Centre proposed it, Justice Nagarathna held that the note ban was unlawful, and showed a lack of independent thinking by the RBI.
