BJP Spokesperson Dr Ashok Sinha said the party does not regret backing Nitish Kumar as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) chief ministerial candidate, adding that it was in fact a well-though plan even as the Janata Dal (United) trailed in early voting. "We will do better as counting continues. Campaigning was a fight between Vocal minority and silent majority. This trend of silent majority rising will continue. We're relying on substance… on welfare work done by the Centre and infrastructure built by the state government," Mr Sinha said. The reassurance came amid talks of the BJP silently side-tracking Nitish Kumar and backing Lok Janshakti Party's Chirag Paswan, who had exited the NDA ahead of Bihar polls.
