Around 23,000 Indian seafarers are reportedly stranded in the Gulf region after the closure of the Strait of Hormuz amid rising tensions with Iran. Sources say 36 Indian-flagged vessels remain stuck across the Persian Gulf, with 24 ships west of the strait and 12 to the east in the Gulf of Oman.
