Despite a ruling from the Bombay High Court - the Shani temple in Ahmednagar in Maharashtra denied a group of women access inside the temple. Instead, activist Trupti Desai and those with her were bundled into police vehicles and taken away. No court ruling, it seems, will change the minds of some. The Maharashtra government had agreed to comply with the Bombay High Court order. This is 2016 and yet, women are discriminated in yet another way - they can't worship in places that they choose. Have women activists been let down by the state?
