A SpiceJet employee has been suspended after a video showing a heated argument with passengers at Bagdogra Airport in West Bengal went viral on social media. The incident took place on June 13th, 2026 after SpiceJet flight SG 151, scheduled to operate from Bagdogra to Delhi, was first delayed and later cancelled. In the widely shared video, the airline staff member is seen exchanging angry words with passengers while other travellers watch the confrontation unfold. In a statement, SpiceJet said the disruption was caused by a combination of adverse weather conditions and operational constraints. According to the airline, the aircraft assigned to operate the flight had been diverted to Kolkata because of bad weather in Bagdogra, resulting in a delay to the scheduled departure. The flight was eventually cancelled due to watch hour constraints at the airport.
