BCCI President Shashank Manohar said Kochi has got a 30-day notice unlike Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab because their breach of contract has been totally different.

The six companies that own Kochi are at war over how much free equity should be given to the Gaikwads, who led the consortium when it paid 333 million dollars for the team. Satyajit Gaikwad, the group CEO, says he's working on making peace within the group. The real issue, though, is whether Gaikwad will control the franchise.
