South Africa: Rainbow Nation, A Promise Unfulfilled

It has been 22 years since South Africa held its first multi racial elections. Nelson Mandela, who became the country's first black president, announced the birth of the "rainbow nation". A term that spelt hope and described the coming-together of people of many different nations. Among them are South Africans of Indian descent, who comprise about three per cent of the population of 55 million. They talk to NDTV about life in post apartheid South Africa. Sutapa Deb reports.
