Smriti Irani vs Who In Amethi? Suspense Continues

Congress and Rahul Gandhi have kept the suspense over Amethi...The constituency is heading for elections on May 20th but to date, Congress has not decided a candidate, for what has historically been a Gandhi bastion. Today, in a joint press conference with Samajwadi party, Rahul Gandhi said he is a 'soldier' of his party and that he will do as his party wants him to. BJP has, of course, re-nominated Smriti Irani, the sitting MP, as their Amethi candidate. Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra has also thrown his hat into the ring, saying that he is willing to contest the election from Amethi if people want him to.
