SIR Row Escalates: Congress Targets CEC, PM, Home Minister
The Congress Working Committee has escalated its confrontation over the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner, suspension of SIR in several states and restoration of voter names it says were removed from the rolls. The party has also demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister and Home Minister.
