SIR News | 'I Take Medicine Twice A Day To Handle Stress': BLO On SIR Workload
NDTV visited Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh to meet Booth Level Officers involved in the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR 2025). BLOs described extreme work pressure, with some working 15–16 hours a day. One Anganwadi BLO said she has to take medicine twice daily just to manage the stress and keep up with SIR duties. The workload, long hours, and constant deadlines highlight the human cost of this large-scale voter verification exercise.
