SIR Dominates Winter Parliament Session, Opposition Seeks Debate
Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 11:00 am Tuesday following repeated sloganeering and protests by Opposition Members of Parliament (MPs).
The core demand of the protesting Opposition MPs was a discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise concerning electoral rolls across the country.
Earlier, as the Winter Session of Parliament commenced, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to the Chair and members, calling it a moment of pride for the House.
