Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong is set for a 64% increase in his annual pay, taking his benchmark salary upto $1.9 million. Singapore says high political salaries help attract top talent and deter corruption. Wong, however, has pledged to donate his salary increase to charity for the next five years.
