Sikh Protesters Demonstrate At Rahul Gandhi’s Residence Over Sajjan Kumar Remarks

Around 200 Sikh community members and families of 1984 anti-Sikh riots victims staged a protest near Rahul Gandhi’s residence in Delhi. Demonstrators expressed anger over remarks they linked to Sajjan Kumar and Congress’ role model reference. Protesters burned an effigy of Rahul Gandhi and beat it with footwear. Police detained several demonstrators and took them away in buses, removing the protesters from outside the Congress leader’s residence. Sajjan Kumar was convicted in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.
