Siachen braveheart Lance Naik Hanamanthappa Koppad, 33, died at Delhi's Army Research and Referral Hospital this morning, four days after he was found buried alive beneath 25 feet of ice for over 6 days in the deadly heights of Siachen. He is survived by his wife, Mahadevi Ashok Bilebal, and a two-year-old daughter. On The Buck Stops Here, Siachen veterans, and family and friends of late Siachen heroes speak of what it takes to survive at such peaks. As the nation mourns, will soldiers now get their due?
