They fought for our country, ended up being injured, disabled. According to the laws, they are entitled to disability benefits but, over a period of several years, it's clear that the issue of honour and respect for our men and women in uniform in the cases of disabled soldiers is ending up disappearing. Over the years, thousands of cases have been filed by the Defence Ministry, in several cases challenging the claims made by disabled soldiers for an appropriate pension. In its own study a few years back, the Defence Ministry admitted that litigation is both expensive and unnecessary. Hundreds of cases have been dismissed outright, but still the government persists. On Trending @ 10, we look at the fight for disability rights of men and women in uniform. Is the honour of disabled soldiers caught up in government red tape?
