With an increasing number of childhood obesity and juvenile diabetes-related issues, India has the maximum number of unfit children among the all South East Asian nations. Sporting activities are categorized under 'extra-curricular' activities and not as an integral part of the curriculum, building health and teaching India's youth perseverance and basic human values. NDTV Profit, in collaboration with Brigade Orchards, brings together a varied group of pro-sports figures to discuss pitfalls of lack of physical exercise and how parental support and government spending on sporting infrastructure remain key to the well-being of India's youth. On the panel are Australian cricket legend Steve Waugh, pediatric surgeon Dr Sunita Maheswari, one of India's finest hockey players Ashish Ballal, former secretary to the government of Karnataka, and Dr Chenraj of Jain Group of Institutions.
