Two days after presenting the Union Budget, Finance Minister P Chidambaram speaks to NDTV’s Vikram Chandra and Shweta Rajpal Kohli about the Budget, where he announced a 10 per cent surcharge on those earning over Rs 1 crore. He says it is shocking that only 42,800 people and firms admit to earning over Rs. 1 crore, and warned that the government will now send notices to nearly 35,000 people.
