Within hours of Telangana Intermediate Board class XI and XII exam results being declared, six students had killed themselves. That number grew to 26 over the next few days. But it was not just a case of poor marks, high expectations, not able to cope with failure and the expectations of parents, teachers and themselves - something more criminal had happened. A probe revealed there had been thousands of errors because a firm incompetent to handle the marks and results had been entrusted with the futures of children. Repeated bungling, blunder after blunder by the Intermediate Board and the dissatisfactory handling of the delicate issue by the government has disappointed and angered Telangana.
