'NDTV Election Carnival' reached Meerut in western Uttar Pradesh on Monday via Delhi and Haridwar. Arun Govil, of the Ramayan fame, is BJP's Meerut candidate. "I wanted to do janseva, may be Ram ji heard me," said Mr Govil on being chosen by the BJP. He spoke at length about reel vs real life, the Ram Temple and his Ramayan days.
