Stocks on Wall Street extend their losses, snapping a five day rally as the euro fell and as investors remained on the sidelines. Meanwhile, holiday sales pick up as US retail sales rise 4.5 per cent for the week ending December 24. On other hand, Italy sells 9 billion euros of six-month bills, with yields dropping sharply from levels seen at a November auction.
