Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb's "sexist" remark against 1997 Miss World winner Diana Hayden has been criticised on social media for being extremely irresponsible. Mr Deb, 47, also launched a blistering attack on the fashion industry and jeered at women who are "foxed by marketing and advertisements". At an event in Agartala, Mr Deb jeered at everyone from "the international fashion designing in Paris" to the cosmetic industry, but his harshest barbs were reserved for Ms Hayden, who, he said, was not worthy of the crown and was merely chosen for business reasons by what he called the "international fashion mafias".
