Melghat region 125 kilometers from Amravati has pristine views, lush forests, and breathtakingly beautiful hills. Melghat may be scenic and alluring, but amidst this beauty lies the ugly truth of malnutrition. Melghat region has been infamous for the shocking malnutrition figures that it throws. All that could change as now locals women are being roped in as Community Nutrition Workers to tackle the problem. These young women are taking help of technology and local authorities to overcome the cultural challenges and are battling their way for a Swasth India. This is why through the NDTV-Dettol Banega Swasth India campaign, an attempt is being made to move the conversation from Swachh to Swasth as both are closely interlinked and one cannot do without the other.
