'Should Have Been In Parliament': Congress Ally Slams Rahul Gandhi's Berlin Visit

Congress Ally CPI(M) MP John Brittas has said that while it is Rahul Gandhi's prerogative to travel abroad, the Congress leader should ideally have been present in Parliament during the Winter Session to lead and motivate the opposition. Speaking to NDTV, Brittas said the parliamentary calendar is known well in advance and opposition leaders usually plan their engagements accordingly. While clarifying that he would not question Rahul Gandhi's seriousness or integrity, Brittas said his presence in Parliament is important for opposition unity and morale.
