Today, the number of tigers in India has increased to 2226, which is a reason to celebrate as well as understand new challenges due to the rise in numbers. Anchored by NDTV’s Vikram Chandra and Swati Thiyagarajan, the event brought together Prakash Javadekar, Minister of State of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Aircel’s Anupam Vasudev, Bittu Sahgal, Editor, Sanctuary Asia, Dr Anish Andheria, President of the Wildlife Conservation Trust, Bishan Singh Bonal, the head of the National Tiger Conservation Authority, Dr Yadvendradev V. Jhala and Dr Qamar Qureshi from the Wildlife Institute of India, Vivek Menon, Founder, Executive Director and CEO of the Wildlife Trust of India.
