The Rajasthan Government has ordered state colleges to stay open for blood donation camps on September 25 to mark the birth anniversary of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya. The date coincides with Bakr-Id, and the cancellation of the holiday has Muslim groups outraged. The Rajasthan Government's move comes after the Centre observed Good Governance Day on Christmas last year, but preponed Teacher's Day celebration to September 4 to avoid a clash with Janamashtmi. On The Buck Stops Here, we debate: is this selective festivity? First Christmas, now Eid, is this just a coincidence or a bias?
