Russia's Overnight Missile Barrage Kills Nine, Injures Dozens In Kyiv

Russia launched a massive overnight barrage of ballistic missiles and drones targeting Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, killing at least nine people and injuring around 30 others, according to Ukrainian authorities. Residential buildings were hit across multiple districts, with fires breaking out after missile debris struck homes. Rescue workers evacuated dozens of residents, including children, as emergency teams searched through damaged buildings. The deadliest strikes were reported in Kyiv's Darnytskyi and Solomianskyi districts, where homes, vehicles, and public buildings suffered extensive damage. The latest attack comes amid continued escalation in the Russia-Ukraine war, with Ukraine once again urging its allies to strengthen air defence support.
