Sections of lawyers in Tamil Nadu are demanding installation of portraits of Ambedkar in all courts across the state. This after portraits of Ambedkar were removed from lower courts after a circular by the Madras High Court that said only portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and revered poet Thiruvallur are allowed. The Tamil Nadu government wants these portraits remain.
