Beyond the parade, the Indian Army is inducting camels ‘Galwan’ and ‘Nubra’ as rugged high‑altitude pack animals, reinforcing logistics in the harsh Himalayas where drones falter and men must endure. NDTV’s Science Editor Pallava Bagla had earlier travelled to Leh, Ladakh and saw them being trained and spoke to Colonel Ravikant Sharma the veterinary doctor of the Indian army who trained these camels to fight wars.
