From a life of farmers family to the owner of a Silai School, this tribal woman has charted her own course of life. Today Rekha built a house and is sending her children to school, but all this became possible because Rekha took the decision to step out of her tribal community. Instead of going to jungle for work like the other women of her community, Rekha chose a different path for herself. She had a modern outlook to life, and believed she had ability to do more. She learnt stitching from Usha Silai School and chose to open her own school. Today she has not only empowered herself through this training but also other women around her.
