Rate hike unlikely on weak credit demand: BoI
B A Prabhakar, Executive Director, Bank of India says PSU banks are saddled with liquidity so deposit rates are unlikely to be hiked. Weak credit demand (18 per cent year on year) will prevent banks to hike rates immediately, he adds.
